solivagant (escapril day 6)

checkpoint.

save?

saving...

you’ve been here. you can feel it—this sense of déjà vu that you can’t ever seem to shake. the dimmest flow of streetlights spill over the ground. fireflies flicker in the air, softly settling in the sky against the backdrop of the stars.

if only i could remember.

here you sit, on the bench. and you can’t help but contemplate the past adventures yet to come. but a piece of the puzzle is missing—stolen and locked away into a room you can’t seem to find.

in solitude in this lonely road, you pause. you ponder. you take it all in, and you wonder where you’d be if you hadn’t set off on this expedition.

if only this road wasn’t so alone.

you stand up and begin the next segment of your journey.

Day 6: (l)on(e)ly

I was kind of running low on inspiration, so this isn't really a poem, but I hope you enjoy it nonetheless.
